Troy Softball Earns Sun Belt GPA Award

TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team received the Sun Belt Conference Team GPA Award for the third consecutive year, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Under the direction of Beth Mullins, the team garnered a league-leading 3.57 GPA. leading This marks the third consecutive year and the fourth time in the past five years the Trojans have led the league's 10 softball-playing institutions.

"What an amazing accomplishment for our softball team to be the top academic program among its peers in the Sun Belt each of the last three years," Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. "What's even more impressive is that in addition to their academic excellence, they are among the best in the league on the field as well. Coach Beth Mullins, her staff and student-athletes should all be commended for their hard work and dedication both on the field and in the classroom."
