Troy vs. Texas State Game Three Suspended

SAN MARCOS – Troy and Texas State were in the middle of game three of their Sun Belt series at Bobcat Ballpark, when officials cleared the playing field due to lightning in the area and later suspended the game until 12 p.m. Sunday.
The Bobcats had scored two runs to take their first lead at 4-3 in the bottom of the third inning, but with two outs and runners on the corners, lightning and a severe thunderstorm with nickel-size hail ensued to end any hope of completing the game Saturday night.
The two squads are set to resume at noon Sunday and have to complete the game before Troy's 3:30 p.m. drop-dead time.
