Troy Finishes Fourth at Sun Belt Women’s Golf Championship

Final Results
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – Troy fell one spot into fourth place following Wednesday's final round of the Sun Belt Women's Golf Championship at the LPGA International Hills Course. Sarah Harrison and Bianca Lohbauer paced the Trojans tying for seventh place in their final tournament for the Trojans.
"We had a very talented team but unfortunately just didn't get the job done," head coach Randy Keck said. "I am proud of our seniors and this group of ladies. We start looking forward to next fall and the new group coming in."
Lohbauer carded three birdies on the day as she shot a 1-over 73 to finish the week with a 5-over 221. She finishes her Troy career with a 75.58 stroke average which ranks as the second best in school history. Lohbauer finished 2-under on the par 4 holes at the Sun Belt Championship, third-best in the field, and finished fourth with 39 pars.
Harrison closed out her Troy career with a 5-over 77 after a pair of even par rounds to open the tournament. She finishes her two-year career with the Trojans with a 75.83 career stroke average good for third in school history behind Lohbauer and Fátima Fernández Cano.
Lindsey Harrison also made her final appearance as a Trojan as she tied for 14th place overall – her second top-15 finish at the Sun Belt Championship in as many seasons. Harrison opened with a 2-under 70 on Monday and finished the week at 7-over and her career with a 77.90 average.
Freshman Nicole Lorup closed out her remarkable rookie campaign with a 1-under 71 on Wednesday for her team-leading fifth round under par this year. Lorup tied for 18th place overall at 8-over for the week, and her 74.17 stroke average for the year is the lowest by a freshman in school history and fourth-lowest overall.
Judith Castro finished in a tie for 30th place in her first-ever Sun Belt Championship after shooting 13-over. Castro carded five birdies on the week and closed out the year with a 77.26 average.
South Alabama maintained its round two lead to win the team title by three shots over Texas State while Georgia Southern was five shots back of the Jags in third. Troy finished nine shots off the pace in fourth.
