Troy Faces North Alabama Friday

TROY, Alabama– Troy will play against North Alabama on Friday, March 1 to try to collect another win in non-conference play. The first serve is set for 1 p.m. at North Alabama Tennis Complex.
The Trojans (10-1) come back after the successful weekend, where they defeated New Mexico State and Tennessee Tech in dual matches. However, Troy fell short to Louisiana in the finals at HEB Invitational, 4-1. Sophomore Pelayo Antuna went through a perfect week by clinching four singles wins, and two doubles wins during the tournament play. Overall, the Trojans recorded eight team wins during February.
North Alabama has recently become a member of Division I and accepted the invitation to join the Atlantic Sun Conference in all sports except football. Lions (0-8) started the spring schedule against tough SEC opponents such as Ole Miss and #22 Alabama. In the last dual matches, Lions lost to Jacksonville State, 6-1, and Alabama State 0-7.
