Jeffcoat Named to Sun Belt All-Tournament Team

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Lacey Jeffcoat has been named to the 2019 Sun Belt Volleyball Championships All-Tournament team, the league announced Sunday. Jeffcoat is Troy's third-ever selection to the Sun Belt team and the first since 2013.
Jeffcoat recorded 39 digs in eight sets played at the tournament, including a career-high 29 in Troy's thrilling five-set win over Arkansas State in the quarter finals. The sophomore averaged 4.88 digs per set, which was the second-best mark among tournament participants.
The Mountain Brook, Ala., native found herself at the service line with Troy down 14-10 in the fifth set to Arkansas State. Jeffcoat stayed cool under pressure and was key in helping the Trojans fend off an early tournament exit.
The weekend capped another impressive season in which Jeffcoat broke the 400-dig mark for the second-straight year.
