Frederic, Mosley Named Preseason All-Sun Belt

TROY, Alabama – Troy junior third baseman Drew Frederic and sophomore outfielder Rigsby Mosley have been named to the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team, the league announced Thursday.

Frederic, a Niceville, Fla. native, was tabbed as the league's top third baseman headed into the season – an honor that was also bestowed upon him following last season. The all-conference, all-region and NCAA Regional all-tournament selection was recently named a 2019 Collegiate Baseball Preseason All-American. He batted at a .331 clip with 20 doubles and seven homers in 2018 – while also swiping 28 bases which ranked 20^th nationally.

A product of Maitland, Fla., Mosley heads into the season following one of the more impressive seasons by a freshman in school history. The Sun Belt Freshman of the Year batted .322 with 12 doubles, five triples, five homers and 51 RBI in his 2018 campaign en route to becoming the school's 53^rd All-American.

Frederic and Mosley are poised to lead a young but talented Troy squad into the 2019 season, beginning with a four-game series against Central Michigan at Riddle-Pace Field February 15-17. Troy was also picked to finish third in the East Division based on a league-wide coaches' poll. The Trojans were selected fourth in the East last season – however, they finished second in the division and were the conference tournament runner-ups.
