TROY, Ala. – Troy and Western Kentucky will meet on the football field in 2022 and 2023 as both schools announced a home and home deal on Wednesday.
The former Sun Belt Conference rivals will open the series at L.T. Houchens-Smith Stadium in Bowling Green, Ky., on Oct. 1, 2022, with the return meeting coming on Sept. 23, 2023, at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Ala.
Troy leads the all-time series with WKU by a 9-2-1 margin, including a 32-26 victory in the final meeting between the two schools in 2013. The Trojans and Hilltoppers played every year from 2007 through 2013.
Troy's road non-conference schedule for the 2022 season is now complete as the Trojans also travel to Ole Miss on Sept. 3. The home game against WKU is the first on the docket for the 2023 season.
The Trojans open the 2018 season on Sept. 1 when No. 22 Boise State visits The Vet at 5 p.m. Season and single-game tickets are on sale by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets or by calling 877-878-WINS.
