Troy Football Hosting Student-Appreciation Scrimmage Friday

TROY, Ala. – Troy will hold its Annual Student Appreciation Scrimmage on Friday at 5:05 p.m. in The Vet; gates to the stadium open at 4:30 p.m. It will be the final scrimmage for the Trojans before No. 22 Boise State visits on Sept. 1 in the season opener.

Troy University students will be selected throughout the scrimmage to participate in various promotions for a chance to win a variety of prizes including a Yeti Cooler and tickets to Troy's game at South Alabama.

The Troy Barnes & Noble Bookstore will be on hand holding a T-shirt swap where students can trade a shirt from another school to receive a new Troy shirt. Additionally, students can purchase student guest tickets for just $10 to the Boise State game throughout the scrimmage.

The Sound of the South and Troy Cheerleaders will also be on hand so fans and students can the feel of gameday.

Fan Day & Football Kickoff Set for Saturday
• Troy's annual Fan Day will have a few new additions this year when the event descends on Trojan Arena on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. Fan Day allows fans to engage with Troy student-athletes and coaches plus have an opportunity to snag some goodies and see The Vet like never before.

• The first 200 fans through the doors of Trojan Arena for Fan Day will receive a limited-edition copy of "Year of the Trojans" which chronicles the 2017 Sun Belt championship season.

• Fans who purchased or renewed their seasons tickets prior to April 27 can pick up their replica Sun Belt championship ring. Ring pickup will be located inside the Trojan Arena suite area located on the West side of the arena. Fans who are unable to pick up their rings during Fan Day may do so at the Troy Ticket Office during normal business hours beginning August 20.

• The North End Zone Club will open from 2:30 until 4 p.m. for fans to purchase one of the few remaining premium seats in the newest addition to The Vet. Troy Athletics staff members will be on hand to discuss seating options for fans interested in becoming part of history as initial ticket holders in the North End Zone Club. The North End Zone Club can be accessed via Gate 7 (Northwest corner) of The Vet for this event.

• The originally scheduled practice for Saturday morning has been canceled.
