Troy Adds Clemson to 2025 Football Schedule

TROY, Ala. – Troy will travel to Death Valley in week two of the 2025 season as the Trojans will take on Clemson on Sept. 6, 2025, in Memorial Stadium. It will be Troy's first visit back to Clemson since the Trojans pulled the near upset of the Tigers in 2016. Both schools announced the one-game deal on Wednesday.

Troy dropped a 30-24 decision to Clemson, the eventual CFP National Champions, in a game that featured a controversial 14-point swing at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Trojans forced a fumble and returned it for a touchdown, but the officials blew a late whistle claiming the play dead – Clemson scored a touchdown one play later.

The 2025 meeting will be the third in the series between the two schools. Troy led Clemson at the half, 16-13, in the first meeting back in 2011, and the Trojans were within seven early in the fourth quarter before the Tigers pulled away for a 43-19 victory.

Troy now has two non-conference games scheduled for the 2025 season as Memphis will visit The Vet on Sept. 13.
