Troy Softball Announces Alumni Day

TROY, Alabama- The Troy softball program has announced Saturday, April 14, as Alumni Day as the Trojans play host to Coastal Carolina for a doubleheader slated for 1 and 3 p.m. As part of this event, all Troy softball alumni and their families are invited to partake in an exciting afternoon reconnecting with their former teammates and the current Troy softball team.

The patio at the Troy Softball Complex will be reserved for the guests to gather and enjoy the events throughout the day. All softball alumni and their families will be able to enjoy complimentary food and drinks as part of this tailgate. Participants will also be recognized on the field prior to first pitch and will have the opportunity to meet with coaches and players following the games.

Participation in the event is free and alumni are asked to RSVP in advance to Jonathan Swalley at jswalley@troy.edu or (334) 670-3384. Alumni are encouraged to bring their families along with them as part of this event and are asked to include the number of individuals attending with them in their reservation as well. Check-in for those participating in Alumni Day is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 14.

The Trojans are currently riding a five-game win streak after sweeping the D9 Citrus Classic, picking up wins against FIU, UCSB, Fordham, Niagara and Binghamton. Troy will return home this weekend to open up Sun Belt Conference play hosting Georgia Southern. The series will begin on Friday at 2 and 4 p.m., while first pitch on Saturday will be at noon. All three games will be broadcasted on Facebook.com/TroyAthletics. Â
