Troy’s Wesley Person Named to NABC All-District Team

TROY, Alabama – Troy sophomore Wesley Person has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District Second Team, the organization announced recently.

Person finished the year sixth in the Sun Belt averaging 16.8 points per game, while leading the league with 3.1 3-pointers per game. The native of Brantley, Ala., has hit a 3-pointer in all 60 of his career games, which is the longest active streak in the country.

An All-Sun Belt Second Team selection, Person led the Sun Belt with 96 3-pointers on the year and ranks 19^th nationally in 3-pointers per game heading into the Final Four. His 96 3-pointers ranked as the second most in Troy's Division I history and the third most in a season all-time in Troy history.

Person finished the year with 521 points, which is the fourth most in a single-season in Troy's Division I history. In addition to carrying his run of consecutive games with a 3-pointer into his junior season, Person already ranks sixth on Troy's Division I career 3-pointer list and eighth on the all-time list.

Person led Troy in scoring 14 times and scored double-figures in 26-of-31 games on the year. He posted 15+ points on 16 different occasions and hit three or more 3-pointers in 19 games.
