12 Softball Players Named NFCA Easton Scholar-Athletes

TROY, Alabama - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association named 12 Troy softball players 2015-16 NFCA Easton Scholar-Athletes. These students have maintained a 3.5 gpa throughout the school year.

Seniors making the list include Mark Kate Benton, who received a physical education degree with a gpa of 3.75, Leah Brundidge who finished with a 3.82 in sport and fitness management, Khadija Neely with a 3.60 in physical education, Sarah Thomas who received a 3.53 in business management, and Amanda Winters who graduated with a degree in business.

Returning players that have been honored include seniors Meg Willis, who has a 3.8 in the nursing program, Rachel Rigney majoring in human services, and Becca Hartley with a 3.8 in accounting.

Three juniors making the list include Carli Kayler, who has a 3.63 in the nursing program, Cassidy McDilda studying hospitality, sport, and tourism management, and Erica Davis, who has a 3.89 in business. Former player, Alison Moore, majoring in biomedical sciences finished the year with a 3.75.Â
