Troy’s Jaycee Affeldt Earns NFCA All-Region Honors

TROY, Alabama – Troy softball senior pitcher Jaycee Affeldt was named NFCA South Third Team All-Region on Thursday.
Affeldt, the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year, posted a 2.65 ERA and struck out 150 batters in 182.1 innings pitched, which is the second most in the Sun Belt. She is tied for second in the conference with 17 wins and three saves this season. Affeldt struck out a career-high 14 batters against Georgia Tech on March 31.
Affeldt became the first player to win NFCA All-Region honors since Nikki Hollett and Taylor Smartt were named NFCA Second Team All-Region in 2011.
