Troy Notebook: Troy Enjoys First-Drive Success

TROY, Ala. - The Troy offense has enjoyed its first drive of each of its first two games. Against UAB, it took just five plays for the Trojans to find the end zone. On Saturday, Troy drove 83 yards on 11 plays to find pay dirt and take a 7-0 lead. A 31 pass from quarterback Brandon Silvers to B.J. Chitty highlighted the drive. Silvers would cap the drive with a 2-yard touchdown rush.

Silvers Finds the End Zone for First Time

Quarterback Brandon Silvers scored on a 2-yard run with 9:24 left in the first quarter. I was the first touchdown of the freshman's career. After the game, Silvers said he is gaining confidence each week.

"I think it's going to get better every week," Silvers said. "This week was a lot better, but next week we have to keep on pushing. Every week we have to get better."

Chunn Continues to Move Up Career TD List

On the first play of the first quarter, sophomore running back Jordan Chunn scored his 16^th career rushing touchdown, moving him into ninth in career rushing touchdowns at Troy. I was the second rushing touchdown of the year. Last season, Chunn set a school record for rushing TDs by a freshman with 14.
