Troy Announces 2013-14 Cheerleading Squads

TROY, Ala. – The 2013-14 Troy University Cardinal and Silver cheerleading squads were selected over the weekend following a three-day tryout, Troy cheerleading head coach Tiffany Robinson announced Thursday.
“We had a great turnout for tryouts and I'm really excited about our cheerleading squads for next year,” Robinson said. “Our cheerleaders take great pride in how they represent Troy University in the community, and I am looking forward to this group continuing the great cheerleading tradition at Troy.”
Over 50 Troy students participated in the tryouts, which consisted of tumbling, stunts, cheers, chants, dancing and an interview. The Cardinal co-ed squad will consist of eight women and seven men, while the Silver squad will be comprised of 14 women and three mascots.
