Troy Baseball to Face Ontario Blue Jays in Exhibition on Sunday

The Troy University baseball team will take a break from intrasquad action this weekend as they play host to the Ontario Blue Jays on Sunday at noon at Riddle-Pace Field. Admission to the exhibition game is free.

The Trojans opened fall practice on Sept. 26 and have been mixing intrasquad games around practices each week.

Troy is coming off its second Sun Belt Conference title in three years and will look to fill voids left by three Major League Baseball draftees - Logan Pierce, Trae Santos and Danny Collins. Returning for the Trojans are several key players from last year's squad including 2013 Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year Shane McCain.

The Ontario Blue Jays are a high-level summer baseball program from Ontario that competes in the Premier Baseball League of Ontario (PBLO). Among the other schools the Blue Jays will play exhibition games against are Western Kentucky, Georgia State and Florida State on this leg of their tour around the United States.
