Softball to Host One-Day Camp in Dothan on Saturday

TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team and coaching staff will lead a one-day clinic this Saturday, October 6, teaching young players ages six through 13 years old the fundamentals of the game in Dothan.
The Trojans will host the camp at Dothan's Westgate Complex and the clinic will feature a morning session from 9:00 a.m. to noon for players ages six through nine years old and the afternoon session will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children ages 10 to 13 years old.
“We're excited about the opportunity to give something back to the Dothan community,” Troy head coach Melanie Davis said.” “We have a great number of fans and donors in that area. We are excited in assisting the Wiregrass Alumni Association in their annual efforts to raise scholarships for deserving young people to attend Troy University.”
Coach Davis, the Troy coaching staff and players will be on hand to teach the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, fielding and base running at the one-day camp.
“I believe my staff and players are among the nation's best instructors and we are looking forward to a tremendous camp,” Davis said of Saturday's clinic.
Registration for the camp is $20 and includes a photo and a camp shirt. All campers are required to provide proof of medical insurance as a part of registration.
