T-Roy Finishes Second at Nationals

T-Roy finishes ahead of mascots such as Big Red, Cocky and Mr. Wuf
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - T-Roy, the official mascot of Troy University, finished as the national runner-up at the recently held NCA and NDA Collegiate National Championships.
T-Roy finished with 8.972 points, just behind the eventual national champion - Sammy the Bearkat of Sam Houston State - who finished with 9.000 points.
He was matched up against 15 mascots from all over the country, and had to perform a 90 second routine that was judged on creativity, characterization, dance, props and overall impression.
T-Roy finished ahead of such mascots as Truman the Tiger (Missouri), Roc (Pittsburgh), Big Red (WKU) and Lightning (Middle Tennessee) in the competition.
