The Trojans are traveling to Fernandina Beach, Florida to compete in the last event of the fall season.
Georgia Southern University and the University of North Florida are co hosting the Amelia National Intercollegiate and plan to host a successful event on the Tom Fazio's course design at Amelia National Golf and Country Club.
The Trojans will be traveling with the four freshman, Phillip Brennan, Wil Clowdus, Tolver Dozier, Jake Tucker and senior, Ricky Casko.
The tournament layout is to have the teams playing 36 holes shotgun start on Monday, November 7, 2011 and will play an additional 18 holes the following day with tee times going off the front and the back.
The Men's team will be competing against 14 other teams including conference rival Arkansas State. Other teams include, Furman, Texas A&M, Penn State, Elon, Jacksonville, Winthrop, Wofford, Francis Marion, USC upstate, VCU, and Xavier.
"We need to keep getting better," comments head Coach Matt Terry.
The men's team had about 2 weeks off between last event and this event. The time away from competition was spent practicing and preparing to end the fall season on a high note.
"This is an event that will test what we have been working on at practice."
The Men will be competing on the Amelia National Golf and Country Club. They will be playing from 7, 166 on the par 72 course with a slope of 143 and a rating of 76.0.
