2011 Schedule
TROY, Ala. – The Troy University softball team will hit the field for the first time this fall as they get ready for the upcoming 2011 season, playing a pair of games on Friday afternoon at the Troy Softball Complex.
The Trojans, narrowly missed the NCAA Regionals last season as the Sun Belt Conference runner-up, will hit the field for the first time at 4 pm Friday. The Trojans take on Gulf Coast Community College in the first contest, before taking on Jeff State at 6 pm to close out the day.
Troy returns 11 letterwinners off of last year's team, including All-Conference selection Nikki Hollett and senior pitcher Ashlyn Williams – a two-time All-Conference selection. The team will use the fall to get ready for a season that will feature games against the likes of Auburn, Alabama, UAB, UNLV, San Jose State, Cal (Super Regional participant), Fresno State (Regional participant), FIU and Louisiana-Lafayette.
