Hollett Earns First Team All-SBC

MOBILE, Ala. - For the first time in her career, Nikki Hollett has earned All-Sun Belt honors. The sophomore Melbourne, Australia native was named first team All-Sun Belt Conference as the designated player.
Hollett has come one strong late in the season for the Trojans. She leads the club with six home runs, with all of those coming in Sun Belt games. She hit two dingers against Louisiana-Lafayette on April 25, giving her four RBI in a Troy 5-4 victory.
Hollett's .311 batting average in Sun Belt games is the second highest mark on the team. Also, her six home runs in Sun Belt games is the second highest mark in the entire league, just one behind Player of the Year Ashley McClain of FIU.
Her .581 slugging percentage, 15 RBI and 43 total bases in conference games are all rank in the top 10 in the Sun Belt.
Hollett and the Trojans will look to start a post-season run tomorrow when they kick off the Sun Belt Conference Championships with a first round matchup against North Texas at 10:00 a.m. from Jaguar Field.
