SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Troy University men's tennis team continues to climb the ITA national rankings, this week coming in at number 65 according to the ITA as the poll was released Tuesday afternoon.
Troy (14-3) is riding a nine-match winning streak and is coming off a thrilling 4-3 victory over South Alabama this past week. The Trojans will host the annual Sun Belt Shootout this weekend featuring each men's team in the conference, including 29th-ranked Denver (down four spots from last week).
The Trojans have played three ranked teams this season, all ranked in the polls this week. The Trojans lost to 10th-ranked Mississippi and 45th-ranked Auburn on the road in the early portion of their schedule, then defeated 52nd-ranked USC Upstate on the road at the midway point of the season.
The Trojans are just one of two teams from the Sun Belt Conference in this week's poll, and have been in the poll in each of the last four weeks after an eight-year hiatus.
