Trojan Men Remain Undefeated

ORLANDO, Fla. - A day after their match against the University of Central Florida was washed out, the Troy Trojans returned to the court and remained undefeated with a resounding 6-1 victory over Georgia Southern University Saturday afternoon.
Troy (3-0) won all three doubles matches, clinching the point when the team of Guilherme Sahadi and Anas Rouchdi defeated Georgia Southern's team of Alain Garrido and Juan M. Puigventos 8-5. The Trojans won the other two matches of the afternoon in doubles, winning at number one 8-3 and at number two 9-8.
In singles play, the Trojans won five of their six matches with their only loss coming at number two. The first two matches of the day in singles play belonged to Mario Rolemberg and Guilherme Sahadi, winning at number five (6-2, 6-2) and number six (6-2, 6-3) respectively.
After Aurelien Tave won his match at number three for the Trojans; over Gregory Bekkers 6-2, 6-3; the match was clinched for Troy with three matches left to play on the court.
Xavier Masson won his match over Matthijs Verdam 7-6, 7-5; before Luis Henrique Grangeiro remained undefeated in singles play, as he defeated Georgia Southern's Jayraj Jadeja 7-6, 6-3.
The Trojans return to action February 10 against nationally-ranked Auburn University on the road.
