Softball Summer Camp Information

Team Camp
July 11(with 12th optional)
This camp will be held in conjunction with the AHSAA's umpire development program. This camp is being held to provide an affordable option for the regions high school programs to compete during the summer. Please note the following:
* The camp will be limited to the first 16 teams to apply
* Each team will be charged a flat $125.00 camp fee
* Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 4 games (with each game having a one hour time limit)
* Balls will be provided
* Each team will be guaranteed one game of competition on Troy University's softball field (other games will be held at the Troy Sportsplex)
* Every effort will be made to have teams compete with opponents of similar caliber
* Competition will be scheduled from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2009
For those teams interested, the following activities are offered on Sunday, July 12, 2009.
* Coach Sharon O'Mara (formerly with the Australian National Team) will direct a four hour hitting clinic, with sessions being held from 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00. She will be assisted by other qualified collegiate coaches and Troy University Athletes
* The hitting clinic is limited to the first 50 applicants and will involve a $75.00 clinic fee per athlete
* Campers will be provided lunch and a free t-shirt
* Teams having 8 or more players participate in the clinic will receive a $10.00 discount per camper (cost will be $65.00)
* Those campers needing lodging on July 10th or 11th would be housed on Troy's campus for a fee of $10.00 per athlete
