As the match moved to singles play, the Trojans took the number two, three, and six matches with ease.
At number two, Troy's Bares beat Dessbesell in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. DeBakker had similar success at number three and defeated JSU's Wenzel, 6-3, 6-0. Troy's Viega defeated Fuller in straight sets at number six, 6-1, 6-1.

The Trojans improved their record to 4-5 and will next be in action on Friday in Atlanta against Georgia State.
Meanwhile, the Trojan men lost yet another heartbreaking 4-3 decision on Tuesday, this time against Jacksonville State (8-1), on the road at the JSU Tennis Complex.
The match started out on a good note as the Trojan pair of Branko Weber and Mario Silva cruised past JSU's Bernardo Bachino and Gustavo Holz, 8-0, at number one doubles.
However, the Gamecocks tied things up with a victory at number three doubles. Chris Duke and Steffen Solomon defeated Troy's Aurelien Tave and Guilhemre Sahadi, 8-4.
The deciding doubles match was a close one, but the Trojans couldn't pull out the win as Benjamin Chomette and Bastian Maucher fell to JSU's Eduardo Saratt and Scott Robertson, 9-8.
Needing to capture four out of six singles matches, the Trojans could only manage a split.
The highlight for the Trojans came at number one. Tave, a freshman playing in only his second match at number one, defeated JSU's Robertson in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6.
The Trojans also picked up wins at number four and six. Toy's Silva defeated Holz at number four in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. At number six, Sahadi also won in straight sets, defeating JSU's Solomon, 6-4, 6-4.
However, these victories weren't enough to give the Trojans a team win, as Troy fell at numbers two, three and five.
Troy's Weber fell to Saratt at number two, 6-4, 6-3, Chomette lost to Bachino at number three, 6-2, 6-3, and Maucher fell to Duke at number five, 6-1, 6-4.
The Trojans have now played in a total of four 4-3 decisions this year, but unfortunately, only have a 1-3 record in those four matches.
The lone win came over Nichols State. The three losses came against Southern Miss, USC Upstate, and Tuesday against Jacksonville State.
The Trojans are now 1-7 on the year and will next take to the courts on Thursday, March 12th on the road against the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
