Trojans Anxious To Face ULM

NOTE: Saturday's double-header between Troy and ULM moved to 10 a.m. due to the possibility of rain showers affecting the afternoon.
Troy, AL - The Troy Trojans softball team is back at home, and the Trojans will host their first Sun Belt Conference home series of the year.
Troy and ULM are scheduled for a three-game series at the Trojans Softball Complex, and Troy is looking to continue their momentum from a sweep at Middle Tennessee.
“We want to put our best foot forward in the first game,” Trojans head coach Melanie Davis said. “Monroe is coming off of a very successful year last year in the conference tournament. They came in here to Troy and put us in the losers bracket, and we want to avenge that loss by playing well in all three phases of the game.”
Troy fell to the Warhawks for the first time in the series' history in the 2008 Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
“We're realy proud of the girls for how they performed at Middle Tennessee,” Davis said. “We've tried to emphasize that won't get us a single run or a single put-out against Monroe.”
The Trojans are happy about being back in the home dugout, and they are looking forward to more Sun Belt play.
“We enjoy playing at home, and we're looking forward to taking on a very tough ULM team,” Davis said.
ULM is 2-1 in the Sun Belt, and comes in from a series win against North Texas.
