Trojans Tour Sunshine State

The Troy University women's tennis team heads south this week to face three teams from the state of Florida, including two teams that are nationally-ranked. The Trojans will play three matches in three days, beginning with Florida Atlantic on Thursday afternoon.
After their match with the Owls, Troy (2-2) will venture to Miami to face 48th-ranked Florida International University on Friday and then up to Gainesville to face the 12th-ranked Gators of the University of Florida on Saturday.
Troy has faced two nationally-ranked opponents all ready this season in Ole Miss (53) and Mississippi State (67).
The Trojans are led by Caroline Jouanin at number six singles this season, posting a 3-1 overall record - her only loss coming on the road against Ole Miss. Annabelle Bares is 2-2 at number two singles (two losses to Ole Miss and Mississippi State) this season, while Stephanie Vieira is 2-2 at number five singles for the Trojans.
In doubles action, the Trojans are led by the team Rawia Elsisi and Leonie Guijt at number one doubles with a record 2-1 this season.
Meanwhile, Florida International is led by Mariana Muci, ranked 58th in the nation in the latest poll released by ITA on February 19. Liset Brito is also ranked in the latest singles poll this week, coming in at 101st in the rankings. The team of Brito and Priscilla Castillo are the only duo ranked by the ITA in doubles for the Golden Panthers, earning a ranking of 55 this week.
The University of Florida is led by Marrit Boonstra, the seventh-ranked player in the country; while Anastasia Revzina is 45th in the latest rankings. The team of Boonstra and Megan Alexander leads the way for the Gators, garnering a ranking 22 in this week's poll.
