Qualify Matches Announced for Troy Classic.

The qualifying matches have been set for the USTA Classic of Troy. The qualifying matches begin Sunday at 10 am at the Lunsford Tennis Complex in Troy.
Top seeded Alexandra Podkolzina will face wildcard Elizabeth Lumpkin. Podkolzina has won three junior national championships, and was on the tennis team at the University of California. Lumpkin enters tthe match with a 4-2 singles record on the year. Coincidentally Lumpkin played tennis at UCLA.
Another interesting match-up features Annabelle Bares against Erin Carol Stephens. This match will be of particular interest on the local scene because Bares is on the tennis team at Troy University. Stephens is just 15 years old.
Coco Vandeweghe will take on Beatrice Capra. Vandewegh comes from a family that has achieved high success at many different professional sports levels.
Here's a look at the full bracket of qualifying matches that will take place today.
At 10 a.m. Podkolzina will face Lumpkin. Phoebe Di Lio will take on Natalia Ryzhonkova. Brooke Bolender will face Kit Carson, and Allie Will will take on Jennifer Elie.
The next round features Megan Moulton-Levy against Alexa Guarachi. Stephens and Bares will also face at the same time. Julia Samuseva and Chieh-Yu Hsu will face-off, and Petra Rampre will take on Diana Nakic.
The third round of the day features Gabriela Paz against Alexandra Anghelescu. Gabriela Dabrowski will take on Tomoko Dokei. Maria Mokh will face Mami Inoue, and Sofia Melikishvili will face Maureen Diaz.
The final round of the afternoon will show Coco Vandeweghe against Beatrice Capra. Brittany Augustine will take on Stephanie Roy. Samantha Powers will face Mirjana Lucic and Chloe Jones will face Mallory Cecil.
