Trojans Drop Extra Inning Finale, 2-1

BOCA RATON ? The Troy Trojan softball team dropped an 11 inning thriller 2-1 to FAU giving the Owls the series on Sunday at the FAU Softball Complex.

Heidi Johnson gave Troy (24-17, 9-6 SBC) the lead in the third inning on her ninth home run of the season, putting the Trojans on top 1-0.

Three Trojan errors in the fourth inning allowed FAU to tie things up at one.

Ashlyn Williams (now 20-10) battled the entire game, striking out 10 and walking four. She allowed two runs, both unearned, with the final run coming on a sacrifice fly in a bases loaded situation in the bottom of the 11^th.

Troy will be in action next on Thursday night when they host No. 2 Alabama at the Troy Softball Complex. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 pm. Live stats and webcast will be available at TroyTrojans.com.
