Trojans Look to Finish Strong in Arkansas

TROY, Ala. - Sophomore Mark Gentry and the Trojans are on their way to Harrison, Ark., for the last rodeo of the Ozark Region regular season.
Gentry is tied for first in the nation in the team roping heeler standings with 835 points at nine rodeos for Troy. He has won two of the last three rodeos and will be competing this weekend with all-around sophomore Clint Keller, who has the capability of bringing home a regional championship in the heading side of the team roping for the Ozark Region.
Freshman Tabitha Kiker leads the Trojan women's team with a shared lead of the breakaway roping standings earning 455 points up to now in the Ozark Region. She is tied with senior Katie Bandy of the University of Arkansas-Monticello for the lead.
The men's team is currently third in the region with 3,905 points, ranking them currently 17th in the nation. The women's is also third in the region with 1,650 points, trailing second place Tennessee-Martin by a mere 65 points.
The North Arkansas College rodeo is April 24-26 in Harrison, Ark. with each performance beginning at 7:30 p.m.
