McLean Provides Punch at UAB

Ashlyn Williams picked up the win in both games improving to 24-11 on the year.
With two outs in the top of the fourth inning of game one Tanya McLean blooped a single over the head of the UAB shortstop.
Next, Katie Ely lined her second double of the year into left field to plate
Kala Moore followed up the Ely double with a base hit of her own to plate another run.
Moore set a Troy record for stolen bases in the sixth inning when she took second base after walking and then stole home to give Troy the 7-0 lead. She had advanced to second base on a Jessica Lyle single.
Ashlyn Williams (now 23-11) picked up her 23rd victory on the year after working the first five innings of the game. She struck out six and walked one while yielding just one hit.
Cassie Lassiter (0.2 IP, 3 H, 5 ER, 2 BB) recorded the first and second outs of the sixth inning, but after giving up a grand slam she was lifted for Williams to re-enter and record the final out. The home run cut the
In game two starting pitcher Rocky Paige knocked in Jessica Lyle to score the game's first run and give the Trojans a 1-0 first inning lead.
Paige was 2-for-3 and Lyle and Heidi Johnson also added two hits.
The Blazers got the run back in the bottom half when a run crossed on a Kala Moore error and Andrea Rogers drew a bases loaded walk to force in a run and give UAB a 2-1 lead.
The Trojans jumped on top again in the fifth with three runs on a Hillary Hughes two-run double and a Tanya McLean RBI single giving Troy a 4-2 lead.
