Buzz Classic Canceled; Trojans To Host Western Michigan Sunday

MARIETTA, Ga. ? The 2008 Buzz Classic, hosted by Georgia Tech, was canceled due to weather conditions. The Troy Trojans, however, will play this weekend, hosting Western Michigan in a doubleheader on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Extreme weather conditions, including heavy rain on Friday and snow on Saturday, forced total cancellation of the tournament.

Western Michigan was one of the 20 schools, in addition to Troy, that was scheduled to play in the Buzz Classic. The Broncos are 6-4 on the season.

Following the Sunday doubleheader, the Trojans will play next on Tuesday when they travel to face #12 LSU (15-4) in Baton Rouge. Television coverage of that game is available on COX Sports in Louisiana.

First pitch is scheduled for 6 pm at Tiger Stadium on Tuesday.
