Trojans Fall To South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. ? The University of South
Alabama men's tennis team continued its strong play as it won, 5-1,
over Troy at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts, Friday. The
win was the third in a row for Nick Brochu's club and moved them to 5-6
on the year, while Troy fell to 3-5.
As has been the case all year, the doubles point proved to be the quick start the Jaguars needed. Jack Baker and R.J. Nagel opened up the match with a quick 35-minute defeat of Trojans Benjamin Chomette and Mario Silva, 8-2, while Robert Hodel and Marek Sramek grabbed the point from Bastain Maucher and Andrey Morozov, 8-3, 10 minutes later.
On the singles side, USA swept all five matches they played as Baker, Hodel, Aaron Krisan and Nagel all won in straight sets. Marek Sramek also defeated Chomette (3-6, 6-0, 6-2) to sweep the singles matches.
