Middle Tennessee Visits to Start Sun Belt Slate

TROY, Ala. ? The Troy Trojan softball team hosts Middle Tennessee for three games on Tuesday and Thursday at the Troy Softball Complex to begin Sun Belt Conference play.

Troy enters the game with a record of 11-9, following a 2-3 weekend at the Ole Miss Red & Blue Classic.

The Trojans hold a 21-14 all-time advantage over the Blue Raiders, but MTSU took 2-of-3 from Troy in Murfreesboro last season.

Pacing the Trojans at the plate is senior All-Sun Belt honoree Jessica Lyle with a batting average of .393. She also has one home run and 13 runs batted in.

Leading the charge in the circle for Troy is freshman Ashlyn Williams with a 0.86 ERA and a record of 9-5.

The Trojans and Blue Raiders will play a double-header at 4 pm and 6 pm on Tuesday and a single game on Wednesday at 4 pm.

Admission to all home softball games is free.
