Homers Doom Trojans in Rubber Match

TROY, Ala. ? Florida International tied a program record with four home runs as they dropped Troy 6-3 in Sun Belt conference action at the Troy Softball Complex.

Four different FIU players swatted home runs as they piled six earned runs on Troy starter Ashlyn Williams.

Williams (5.0 IP, 7 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 6 K) was charged with her eighth loss, dropping her to 15-8 on the season.

Cassie Lassiter pitched two solid innings of late relief striking out three and walking one. She did not allow a hit.

Kaitlin Kenney was 2-for-4 with two RBI's for the Trojans (18-15, 5-4 SBC), while Rocky Paige was 2-for-2 with one RBI and one walk. Kala Moore stole her 16^th base for Troy.

The Trojans are in action next on Monday when they host Florida A&M in doubleheader action at the Troy Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 4 pm, with game two following 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
