Softball Goes for Sweep on Sunday

MONROE, La. ? After taking games one and two in impressive fashion on Saturday, the Troy Trojan softball team goes for the three-game sweep of ULM on Sunday at the ULM Softball Complex.

Troy defeated the Warhawks 8-2 and 16-4 (5 inn.) to pick up the victories in games one and two behind solid offensive days from Heidi Johnson and Courtney Davis.

Johnson was a combined 4-for-7 with a home run and seven RBI's, while Davis blasted two home runs with eight RBI's combined in both games.

Ashlyn Williams picked up the win in both games improving her record to 13-7. The Trojans also got a pair of stellar relief appearances from Cassie Lassiter to close out both games.
