Trojans Face St. Joseph?s To Kick-Off Tourney

BOTETOURT, Va. ? The Troy Trojan softball team faces St. Joseph's in the first game of the Hokies United Memorial Tournament hosted by Virginia Tech at the Botetourt Sports Complex in Botetourt, Virginia.

Troy (6-3) will look to continue their five-game winning streak against the Hawks who will be playing their first game of the season.

The Trojans are led offensively by senior Jessica Lyle (.417, four doubles, five runs batted in) and freshman Hillary Hughes (.379, three doubles, eight runs batted in).

Junior Heidi Johnson leads the team with three home runs. Freshman Ashlyn Williams holds a 6-1 record in the circle.

Williams has recorded a 1.31 earned run average in 48 innings of work.
