TROY, Ala. - The
Troy University Trojans men's and women's tennis teams are off during the week, but will both see action this weekend against in-state competition. Troy (2-4) women's
tennis host 29th-ranked Auburn University Saturday at the Lunsford Tennis Complex. The first serve is set for 1 p.m. in Troy, and the match will be the first time that the Trojans have hosted a ranked team on campus in the school's history. The Trojans are coming off a 1-1 week in which they fell to fifth-ranked Florida, 7-0, on the road and defeated the University of North Florida, 5-2, this past weekend at the Lunsford Tenis Complex. Troy's Upcoming Schedule In that match against the Ospreys, Troy was tied 3-3 in the overall score but freshman Ed van Aerts was down 6-3, 5-3 and facing match point. The freshman from The Netherlands battled back to win the final two sets 7-6, 6-1 to give the Trojans the victory. Troy's Upcoming Schedule

Meanwhile,
the Troy (2-3) men host in-state rival, the University of Alabama-Birmingham, at the Lunsford Tennis Center beginning at 1 pm on Sunday, February 17. It is the only match of the week scheduled for the Trojans, who are coming off of their first victory over the University of North Florida this past weekend.
