The Troy University men's and women's golf teams were both in action on Monday, playing the first two rounds of their respective tournaments.
The Troy women, playing in the USF-Waterlefe Invitational in Bradenton, Fla., actually only played part of their second round, with play suspended by rain mid-way through the round.
The tournament will return to the course on Tuesday morning to complete the second round, which will complete the tournament, which has been shortened to 36 holes because of the rain.
The Troy men, playing in the Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate, hosted by Georgia Southern, stand in eighth place in the 13-team event after posting scores of 306-299 in the first two rounds. Troy stands at 29-over par after the first two rounds, 35 shots behind the tournament hosts, who posted scores of 278-292 for a six-under par score of 570.
The tournament is being played at the 7,016-yard, par-72 Savannah Quarters Country Club.
