Troy Falls to UALR to End Sun Belt Shootout

The Trojans (5-9, 2-4 SBC) fell to UALR (19-7) who finished third in the tournament. Three of the singles matches in the match were not finished.
UALR swept the doubles matches to earn the first point of the match. Dai Edwards-Evans and Guilherme Sahadi forced a tie-breaker in the third doubles with Marko Ballok and Yoann Chartron but fell 9-8.
Freshman Dusan Medan fell to Rain Roigas 7-5, 6-2 in the three singles. Freshman Bastian Maucher was the only Troy player for force a third set. Maucher lost the first set 6-1, won the second 6-3 but fell in the third set 6-2.
Freshman Dusan Medan was the only Trojan to force a third set. Medan battled with Middle Tennessee's Marc Rocafort but lost by a final score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
The men's team will have the next two weeks off before traveling to Denton, Texas on April 26-28 to play in the Sun Belt Conference Championships hosted by North Texas.
