Trojans Head to Tuscaloosa to Face #2 Alabama

TROY, Ala. - The Troy Trojan softball team will be heading to Tuscaloosa on Tuesday to face the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Trojans are 0-9 against the Crimson Tide in the overall series between the two teams. The Trojans lost 9-0 last year.
The Trojans ( 36-14, 14-7 SBC) are coming off a conference series lost to Louisiana Lafayette. The Trojans were able to come away with a split in the first two games of the series but lost 8-0 on Sunday to lose the series. It was just the Trojans second dropped conference series of the year with the first coming against Middle Tennesee in the first conference series of the season.
The second ranked Crimson Tide ( 46-4, 18-4 SEC) is coming off a sweep of Ole Miss on Sunday. Alabama beat the Rebels 6-0.
The trip to Tuscaloosa will be taking Trojan head coach Melanie Davis back to her hometown of Tuscaloosa. The trip will be special for another Trojan coach as assistant Ashley Courtney will be making her first trip back. Courtney was a four-year letter winner for the Crimson Tide.
Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Alabama Softball Complex.
The game will be televised locally in Tuscaloosa on WVUA-TV.
