Trojans Drop Series to Cajuns

LAFAYETTE, La. - Louisiana-Lafayette used another excellent pitching performance from Brittany Cuevas to defeat the conference leading Trojans, 8-0.
Cuevas, who threw a no-hitter in the first game on Saturday, returned to the circle on Sunday and limited the Trojans to only two hits in five innings. She struck out four and walked one.
Troy (36-14, 14-7 SBC) received hits from Felicia Hammer and Rocky Paige.
Michelle Grinage suffered the loss for the Trojans allowing six runs on four hits. Her record fell to 3-3.
She was relieved by Heather Rush, who surrendered two runs on four hits in one inning of work.
The Trojans return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Tuscaloosa to face in-state rival and second-ranked University of Alabama Crimson Tide.
