Trojans Head to North Texas to Face Mean Green

TROY, Ala. - The Troy Trojan softball team will be heading west this weekend as they will take on North Texas on Saturday and Sunday.

The Trojans (33-11, 11-4 SBC) are currently in first place in the Sun Belt conference standings.

The Trojans and the Mean Green of North Texas are tied 2-2 in the overall series. The two teams first met last year when the Trojans lost the series with North Texas 2-1 at home. The Trojans then faced the Mean Green again in the conference tournament and won 9-0 to even the series at two.

Troy is coming off a 10-2 win on Tuesday against Alabama State while North Texas ( 16-27, 8-7) is coming off a 9-2 lost to #3 Oklahoma on Wednesday.

Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday with game two scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday's game is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Denton, Texas.
