Trojans Topple Hornets, 10-2

The Troy Trojan softball team defeated Alabama State by a score of 10-2 on Tuesday in softball action at the Troy Softball Complex.
Jessica Lyle, Rocky Paige and Kala Moore each had 2 RBI's for the Trojans (33-11).
Heather Rush (now 6-4) started in the circle for the Trojans and threw four innings striking out four and allowing two runs.
She was relieved by Michelle Grinage who pitched one inning allowing one hit and striking out two.
Eight Trojans contributed hits with Lyle (two-for-two, three runs, two RBI's) and Moore (two-for-two, two runs, two RBI's) both had triples.
The first-place Trojans will return to action on Saturday in Denton, Texas when they take on the University of North Texas for a three-game series.
