Lopez Tosses No-Hitter in Game One, Trojans Split

The no-hitter was the second of the season by Lopez for the Trojans (28-9, 8-3 SBC). She tossed her first hitless game against Alabama A&M on March 21.
Lopez (7 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K) picked up her 11th victory of the season.
Courtney Davis lead the way at the plate for Troy knocking in two runs on two hits.
Brooke Powell and Heidi Johnson also had RBI's in the victory.
Western Kentucky (15-21, 3-5 SBC) managed only three base runners.
In game two Troy was able to collect only five hits, including two from Courtney Davis (two-for-three, 1 RBI).
Rocky Paige (now 6-2) started on the mound for the Trojans and suffered the loss.
Paige tossed three and one-third innings allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out two and walking none.
She was relieved by Heather Rush (3.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K).
Shelby Smith and Renikka Toliver both knocked in two runs for the Hilltoppers.
Troy and Western Carolina will meet in the rubber match of the three game series at 11 AM on Sunday at the Trojan Softball Complex.
