Bares and Strauss Lead Trojans Against Clemson

To begin the day, Bares defeated No. 80 Carol Salge 6-4, 7-5 to give Troy (7-4, 2-0 SBC) its first win while Strauss won her match with Clemson's No. 93 Federica van Adrichem 6-1, 6-4.
Bares improved to 10-1 on the season with her win over Salge.
It was a close match in the beginning with Troy trailing 3-2 before the Tigers(12-2) pulled away for the win.
Also performing well for the Trojans was freshman Stephanie Vieria who fell to Clemson's Maria Brito 6-3, 6-4.
The Trojans will be back in action on Tuesday, March 20 when it travels to Jacksonville, Fla., to face North Florida.
