Trojans Score Late, Win 4-2

Right fielder Stacey Dwyer's two-run home run with two out in the seventh inning were the Trojans' first runs of the game after being shut out for six and two-thirds.
First baseman Jessica Lyle and shortstop Courtney Davis also came around to score, Lyle on an error by centerfielder Stephanie Butler and Davis on a wild pitch.
The Yellow Jackets (2-1) managed to score one run in the bottom of the seventh, but fell short.
For the Trojans (6-0), Angela Lopez (5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 5 K, 1 BB) received the start and a no decision.
Michelle Grinage pitched the final two innings to get the win (1-0) allowing one run on four hits while striking out one.
Johnson, along with third baseman Rocky Paige recorded multiple hits for the Trojans, while Kala Moore stole her third base of the season.
Georgia Tech was led offensively by left fielder Caitlin Lever who homered and stole a base, while driving in both of Tech's runs.
Tiffany Johnson (6.2 IP, 4 R, 2 ER, 3 K, 2 BB; now 0-1) was charged with the loss for the Jackets.
The undefeated Trojans will return to action as they kick-off their home schedule with a double-header against ACC power Florida State on Wednesday, February 21 at 3 PM at the Trojan Softball Complex.
