Bares Receives Regional Ranking

TROY, Ala. - Troy University junior Annabelle Bares is ranked 23rd in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's South Region rankings, out this month.
A native of France, Bares captured both singles and doubles title at a tournament in Jacksonville, Fla., in October.
Troy coach Eric Hayes said that earning a ranking in the South Region will be a boost for both Bares and the entire Troy team going into the spring.
"The south region is by far the strongest in the country, having the SEC champion as well as the defending national champion Georgia Tech,” Hayes said. “For Annabelle to be ranked in this region will help her nationally as we head into our season in January."
The Trojans are scheduled to return to action the weekend of January 18-20 at the Georgia Invitational in Athens, Ga.
