Trojans Prepared for Lions after Split with FAMU

The Trojans (7-4) split with the Lady Rattlers of Florida A&M dropping the first game of the doubleheader, 3-2. Troy rebounded in game two when freshman Felicia Hammer hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh to put Troy on top, 6-4.
For the season, Hammer has a batting average of .333, 11 hits, three home runs and has accounted for seven runs.
Also performing well for the Trojans are junior Brooke Powell and sophomore Jessica Lyle. Powell has a batting average of .364, nine hits, three home runs and nine RBIs on the season.
Lyle has 12 hits, three doubles, has accounted for nine runs and has a batting average of .360 for the season. Southeastern Louisiana is 3-3 on the season and lost 9-1 against No. 9 Texas A&M.
Troy leads the series with the Lions 9-8 and won 10-0 when the two teams met in 2005.
The first pitch is set for 1 p.m. at the Trojan Softball Complex on the campus of Troy.
