Morales Wins UNF Singles Championship

Jacksonville, Fla. - Senior Irving Morales won the A singles championship at the University of North Florida Invitational on Sunday.
Morales defeateed Matias Sigal of UNF, seeded second, in the championship by scores of 6-1, 6-2. Morales was also named the UNF Player of the Tournament for his performance in the UNF Fall Invitational.
This is a great way to cap his fall season and puts him in good shape for the spring season,” head coach Eric Hayes said.
Sophomore Diego Martinez fell to Jan Langer of SCSU in the semi-finals of the B draw by scores of 6-1, 6-1.
On the women's side, freshman Stephanie Vieira, seeded second, fell to Sofia Haggstrom of AASU, seeded eighth, in the semi-finals 6-1, 3-6 and 6-3.
